Surprise Real Estate

Surprise, Ariz., is located in Maricopa County. The town has a population of approximately 70,000 residents. Surprise has seen a population growth of 59,263 people in a mere 10 years. As testimony to this swiftly growing town, the city government estimates that a new home is built in surprise every hour and 46 minutes.

A growing community in Surprise also means a growth in Surprise schools. Surprise is primarily served by the Dysart Unified School District No. 89. The Dysart Unified School District serves over 8,000 students. The school district consists of eight elementary school and two high schools. Because of the rapid growth of the populace, the school district plans to open a new school every year for the next few years. The plan to open a new school every year opens the way for a large expanse in the Dysart Unified School District’s resources.

Beyond the Dysart Unified School District, the city of Surprise is served by four charter schools. These four charter schools are public school and are tuition free. These charter schools are an asset to the Surprise’s educational offerings. The four schools are:

Paradise Education Center:

This charter schools serves grades kindergarten through eighth. Paradise Education Center currently serves over 800 students. On average the education center meets or exceeds national averages in test scores, especially in fourth through seventh grades.

Carden Traditional School of Surprise:

This school also serves grades kindergarten through eighth. The school enrollment is around 200 students. To match the school’s progressive attitude, its performance on standardized tests has greatly improved in recent years.

Arizona Charter Academy:

This school has educational facilities for grades kindergarten through eighth. It has a student enrollment of approximately 130. It is fairly new to the school district, as it has only been around for three years.

Superior School:

This is the only charter school of the group that serves grades kindergarten through 12th. The school has about 125 students currently enrolled.

The growing community of Surprise offers a variety of educational opportunities. Surprise schools range in educational styles, offering a style for everyone. Surprise schools offer a high educational standard to match the high standard of the community.
